Yes, make sure to subscribe to our mailing list for a private preview available from Tuesday 17th March at 11am AEDT. This will include sizing and pricing details so you can measure your space and feel confident about your choice before purchasing.

What sizes are the originals?

Each artwork’s exact dimensions are listed on its product page. We recommend measuring your wall space before launch to make sure your chosen piece will fit beautifully.

Will my original artwork come framed?

Your original artwork will be stretched but not framed, as we find most people like to choose their own frame to match their home. However, we can arrange framing for you if you prefer. Pricing for framing is listed in the artwork product description and availability will depend on your location and the size of the piece. Please note that for international customers, artworks will arrive rolled. If you decide to add framing to your original artwork, the current turnaround time is 3-4 weeks.
To discuss framing options, please reach out to howdy@stephbrookestudio.com

What is the artwork hanging orientation?

For this collection, Steph has painted each piece so that all artworks have the option to hang in either portrait or landscape orientation (excluding any square artworks). You will have the opportunity to choose your preferred orientation, and Steph’s signature will be placed accordingly. Once you have secured your original artwork, we will contact you to confirm your hanging selection.

Will these artworks be available as prints?

Yes, all originals in the collection are available as limited edition prints on both canvas and cotton rag once the originals have sold.

Are originals one of a kind?

Yes. Each piece in the collection is hand-painted by Steph Brooke and is entirely unique. Once sold, it will never be recreated. Each artwork is hand signed on both front and back, and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

What inspired this collection?

Steph has written a blog post all about the inspiration behind this new collection 'Flowers of the Sea'. Head over to have a read about her creative process.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

How much is shipping?

Shipping is always free-whether you're in Melbourne or Madrid, we've got you covered.

When will my artwork arrive?

Please allow approximately 10 business days for your artworks to be hand signed, varnished and packaged for shipping. Most Australian orders will then arrive within 7–10 business days, international deliveries may take longer. Please note if you are adding framing to your original artwork, the current turnaround time for framing is 3-4 weeks.

How is my original artwork shipped?

We ship worldwide using trusted couriers. All artworks are carefully packaged and delivered directly to your door. You will receive tracking information once your artwork is with a courier so you can follow along for your estimated arrival date.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We ship worldwide and shipping is complimentary.

We have sent artworks to every continent in the world without issue. Even artworks sent to the Bermuda triangle arrived safely, so there's that.

Should an issue ever arise with the safe delivery of your artwork, we will rectify this at no cost to you (although this is super super rare).

CHOOSING AN ARTWORK

"I love too many of them and I cant decide"

It feels cheesy us writing this in here, but it really is the most common problem we hear. But we are here to help!

First step in narrowing it down, would be to go through the sizing of the original artworks. This is really important. When you have the dimensions you are looking for, it's naturally going to create a shorter list. Head down to the section 'finding the perfect size' for the full run down.

Once you have a size, we start with what feels right, not what matches your cushions. Art should connect to your mood, your memories, and your space’s atmosphere - you can get new cushions.

Now colour... on to the next one slide.

"I can't decide on a colour"

I'd like to change your way of thinking here... It's probably not a colour that you are set on. It's the value, hue and intensity of that colour. Lets use real world examples to explain the colour blue;

Sky blue is light, airy and soft.
Ocean blue is deep, intense and vibrant.
Night Sky - It's not back, it's navy... deep, moody and grounding.

They’re all blue, but each tells a different story. One pastel, one bright and one muted.

Now, can you look around your home, or even in your wardrobe and collect a few things that are colours that you love? Chances are, you'll see a pattern in the value, hue and intensity of those colours. This means, that you already have a colour palette and they all sorta go together because it is what you like - its apart of your essence.

Now back to the art, have you shortlisted artworks that tell a colour story? Are there any outliers in there, something that is different to the rest? Let's pop any outliers to the side for now, we call that an accent colour and its to be used 10% of the time - not for the artwork.

With the shortlisted few we will go over the checklist:
1. It is available in the size that I need.
2. It aligns with the colour story that is personal to me.
3. It makes me happy.

This should narrow it down considerably for you, if not help you make a final selection. You are always welcome to reach out if you need to chat or to hear a friendly voice. You can call or email us at howdy@stephbrookestudio.com

How do I pick the right size?

We have a whole section on this below, it deserves its own column!

FINDING THE PERFECT SIZE

1. Find your anchor point

Decide where the artwork will sit. Above a sofa, console, bed, in or dining table or hallways/entryway. Your anchor furniture will help determine the right proportions.

2. Measure the total width of the space

Use a tape measure to find the full width of the wall, or the space between any architectural boundaries (like windows or doorframes).

3. Apply the 2/3 rule of design

As a guide, your artwork should be about 2/3 the width of the furniture it sits above.

For example, if your sofa is 210 cm wide, look for a piece around 140 cm wide.

Calculation Example:
210 Divided by 3 = 70
70 Times by 2 = 140
Now we have a range to work with. I'd say anything between 135cm - 160cm would work well.

If an artwork is in-between these numbers, go larger. Smaller doesn't work better than larger in this case.

For standalone walls (no furniture), you can go larger — leave about 15–30 cm of breathing space around the edges.

4. Map it out

Use painter’s tape to outline where the artwork would sit. Step back and view it from different points in the room to get a sense of balance.

5. Check the height

When hanging above furniture, leave around 15–25 cm of space between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the frame. The artwork should be hung at eye level...even if you have reallly tall ceilings - always eye level.

6. Consider shape and pairing

Wide walls suit horizontal pieces or a pair of square artworks.

Tall, narrow spaces (like entryways) work beautifully with vertical or square pieces.
